HISP staff access guide

Roles & access

A clear view of who can manage each part of the school portal.

HISP gives each staff account a role that controls which management tools it can use. Super Admin has the full control set. Other roles receive only the duties shown below, and some tools are further limited by school settings, enabled modules, or assigned classes.

Teaching and lesson teachersTeaching staff and lesson teachers work with class activities for classes assigned to them. Student Manager has broader academic tools, while normal staff roles do not receive finance or system-configuration controls.
Delegated discussion moderatorsPrincipal and Super Admin always have discussion moderation access. Vice Principal, Bursar, and Student Manager can moderate when the Super Admin delegates that role. Feed settings and schema updates stay with Super Admin.

How to read this guide: “Not included” means the role does not receive that management permission by default. A school can enable or disable optional modules, and class-based tools only show records the staff member is assigned to. Student and parent accounts use separate portals: students see their own school information, while parents see information for children linked to their account. Those accounts are not staff administration roles in this table.
