What’s New and Changelog to HISP v3.5: September 15, 2023

  1. Result checking pins: Added pins to the Student Portal and a pin generator for admins. This can be disabled through the “Payment for Result Checking” setting.
  2. Password and admission status controls: Added password changes to the admin profile under “Edit Basic Profile” and admit status to “Edit School Profile.”
  3. Added Student Class Manager to the menu, including options to view students by sub-class where available.
  4. Added an option to turn off registration pins for students.
  5. Added search across the Admin Portal student database.
  6. Added student profile deletion to the Admin Portal.
  7. Registration number login: Added registration number as a login criterion alongside username and email.

HISP v3.4

  1. Admins can view results by class and sub-room.
  2. Changing a student’s class now uses AJAX and automatically loads available sub-classes.
  3. Improved profile-picture editing for admin and staff to support more image types and formats.
  4. Cumulative result checking now includes fee-payment calculations from other terms. This can be disabled through “Payment for Result Checking.”
  5. Removed the limit of five result checks per term. This can be disabled through “Payment for Result Checking.”
  6. Removed “General School Fees” editing from live fees. Fees must be set before switching session or during installation.
  7. Compactness and usability improvements across the Admin Portal interface.

HISP v3.3

  1. Sub-class results: Results are separated by grade room, so classes such as SS1A and SS1B are handled independently.
  2. Added class average to results.
  3. Expanded cognitive-domain scoring from 1–5 to 1–100 percent.
  4. Fixed five Admin Portal bugs, including dynamic school-room assignment to classes.
  5. Fixed three Staff Portal bugs, including incorrect teacher-to-class assignments.
  6. Admin staff-profile and class editing now selects sub-rooms automatically.
  7. Updated the staff broadsheet to include sub-grade rooms.
  8. Fixed ordinal positions above tenth place.

HISP v3.2

  1. Staff can view student results from the Students and Class module.
  2. Added “Next Term Begins” to the result sheet.
  3. Fixed eight minor bugs and improved CLI communication speed.
  4. Improved the interface design.

HISP v3.1

  1. Added Paystack payments to Wallet.
  2. Turning mail off now removes the confirmation code.
  3. Fixed the admission module call flow.
  4. Added a class filter selector to class changes.
  5. Updated the photo-card preview.
  6. Shortened serials and pins and improved generation functionality.
  7. Added total and average to the result sheet.

What’s New in HISP v3.0

  1. Updated the codebase to run on PHP 8.1.
  2. Tuned MySQL queries and scripts for performance improvements of up to 1.8x.
  3. Admins can turn result-checking payments on or off from Portal Controls.
  4. Added staff-profile deletion for admins.
  5. Added Parent & Child Map with pending notifications.
  6. Added school-fee payment warnings for parents and students, controlled by admins.
  7. Enforced student and staff account blocking and updated login scripts.
  8. Migrated result uploading to the Staff Portal and updated legacy flows.
  9. Improved the child selector so graduated students do not appear.
  10. Deferred asynchronous JavaScript to improve load time.
  11. Fixed 83 MySQL injection issues across Admin, Staff, Student and prospective-student portals.
  12. Simplified portal installation.
  13. Improved the overall interface and added clearer labels.
  14. Improved grade management for cognitive domains.
  15. Updated warnings and instructions throughout the portal.
  16. Reorganized the Admin menu.
  17. Fixed default school-fee components.
  18. Fixed password changes for the Parent Portal.
  19. Fixed the birthday sidebar and loader for Student and Staff portals.
  20. Upgraded the portal pin-generation strategy.
  21. Enabled tap-to-call, map and email actions in Staff and Student profiles, and fixed AJAX loading calls.
